Playing around with the same trick in Gimp… two pictures make one. The first is sharp, the second out of focus. I put the out of focus on 50 % transparency.
The difference from the studio photo is that I didn’t use a tripod this time. Which meant that not only was it out of focus, it also was slightly moved. This gives this photo a double exposure. And I love the fact that the second tree is sharper which draws the attention to itself.
